Stayed last night and had a pleasant experience. The only draw back was the hidden fees. For my quoted price on a supreme room, I was given $18 to park and a $10 Hotel service fee???? A little more than I planned. Otherwise, it was clean and neat. Great looking lobby. No coffee in your room. If you want free coffee get to the lobby before 7am. Otherwise your hidden fees will increase. I would not have minded the price, had I know in advance.

After I checked into the hotel, I received a call to my room informing me they forgot to make me aware the hotel would be without power for a full day due to an expansion. This was not stated anywhere on their website nor on on the online travel website. Only one elevator was working on emergency power and I had no lights or air-conditioning. I booked this with a online travel website and was charged by them. Once my credit card bill came, The had also charged my credit card that I had on file. I would not advise staying here.

When I read the reviews online, everyone kept talking about the bed, I was like, ""it can't be that great"". Boy was I wrong!. That bed was so spectacular that when I read in the hotel directory that you could order it and have one delivered to your home, I seriously thought about making it a Christmas present for me and my husband. We are from Jacksonville, so we visit Orlando often and have stayed at a variety of hotels from Holiday Inns to condos to full resorts. For this trip we just went for a romantic relaxing weekend. We thought since we weren't doing any theme parks just shopping we would go all out for the hotel. The hotel was running a special so we gave it a try. It was the best decision we ever made. I loved the hotel so much that now I won't even bother staying at another hotel in Orlando. The ducks were cute, but the room was fantastic. TV& robes in the bathroom. The rooms service was $$$ but the food was great and hot upon arrival. The only downside is that the hotel is building a new parking garage so they only have Valet. It costs $18 a day on top of the $10 a day hotel fee. Valet was not a problem arriving at the hotel but checking out was horrible. During the renovations they park your car off site, so when everyone is checking out at the same time, there is a 30 minute wait for your car. Do yourself a favor and call down ahead so that by the time you check out (you can do it express in your room or at the front desk) your car is ready. No noise from construction at all!

I have been in the Peabody at least four times and this is the first time I have an incident. One issue I did not like is that I was charged for hotel services for $*, which was not announced or stated when I did the reservation. I was never charged for that before. It is not the money only, but the feeling of being cheated for something I would not use at all. (Like coffee from 5 to 7 am. on vacations, come on...) I asked the lady of the check-in if it was optional and she said no. Why? The valet parking usually was very slow and we more or less got used to that, however one day the person in charge of the valet parking, was writing the number of the cars in a small piece of paper and he missed my car for such disorganization. They said all the time that you should wait 15 min. then you give a few more trying to be reasonable. After 25 min, I asked and it was when everything started, especially because the guy told me that I had to wait 15 min. like if I was being a nasty desperate. Then I asked the lady in the booth, just telling them that six people in front of me in the queue had already received their cars, with the same answer. I just wanted them to check if they had skipped me for mistake. They did not listen until after 45 min. that I tried to reach the manager. The concierge lady came out to help and then they realized their mistake and ran for the car. The lady in the booth was never there and she never in 8 days I spent there answered the phone once. She told me that she was always busy with other calls. The truth is that she was not in the booth for long periods. Anyway, I arrive very late at the parks and lines were much bigger than usual, but that was nothing compared with the bad time and the angry feeling I had all day.

While on our friends & family tour through Florida this past summer we stayed at the famous Peabody Hotel & enjoyed a superior experience. The duck parade is something everyone should go to see. The beds are to die for & you may even purchase one upon departure if you wish. We had family & friends visit us during our stay & each did not want to leave after staying a night. The firework displays were fabulous through our windows in every direction for each park. The staff, restaurants, even the gift shop offered wonderful experiences that I will never forget. I hope that you stay & have as a delightful experience as we did.
